Brooke is 5 ½ years old…the 2nd of 4 kids and is very, very active. She plays soccer and loves to be outside and moving all the time. Brooke starts kindergarten in the fall and is always saying something quirky and makes you laugh, even when you shouldn’t. Brooke has a.d.d. and I love how she’s just her and doesn’t really care about anything else or what most people think. She says she can talk to animals {hello Dr. Doolittle} and is a lover of all. She’s just a hysterically funny and real kid. I love her….
Let's see what Brooke has to share with us today...(Danyele's comments are in italics)
tell me about your summer so far-
b: I like my new teacher. It’s gonna be great. I hope. That’s it. Oh, tartar sauce.
What about being outside all time?
B: I’m not saying anything else. Oh, I have a very fast bike.
If we get a dog, what kind should we get?
B: oh I know. We can get just, like, a dog. You know not a little dog, but another dog. Just like hallie’s dog. Mom, can we get one like hallie’s dog?
If you could dress mommy in anything, what would
it be?
B: makeup and uh, eye shadow that is pink. And shoes. Blue, no, pink shoes. with glitter. You would like a queen. It would have diamonds and a picture of dog and a lot of stars. And a lot of diamonds. And a crown that you would like, put it on your head…you know, with a lot of diamonds.
What is your favorite stuffed animal?
B: a doggie. Patches is a nice dog. He is lovely and he wears high heels and a dress and makeup and a tiara. {patches may have some issues we need to address at a later point}
What does daddy do when he’s in France {he travels for work}?
B; gives us presents! He talks to people and he buys stuff.
When daddy works in his office, what does he do?
B; he calls
us. Has conference calls. Talks a lot. He has a barking dog, but it don’t bark
anymore. That’s really sad, but well, we used to have one of those and I really
want to get that one, from daddy’s office.
Do you like daddy coaching soccer:
B: yes…I like nothing. I like when we run and run and go around and around and we do soccer drills where we fight other people. That totally rocks. It rocks and rolls.
When daddy travels, what do you miss the most?
B: I love him. I miss his stories and cuddles. His stories are about every world and every princess and kitty and every unicorn. And he always cuddles us.
What was the best thing that happened today?
B: I like when we had lunch. The cheese stick and the blackberries. Nothing else. I did like the popsicle.
What the worse thing that happened today?
B: I hate waiting. I waited to get that stinking popscicle. I did not like when you said, “nope. nope. and nope.” It made me so mad I could spit.
Do you want to say anything else?
B: I like gabby and she is a good dog. When she dies I will cry and my whole body will explode. And that’s it.
Wow! You definitely have a hot ticket on your hands, Danyele. I love her comment about waiting for the popsicle and getting so mad she could spit! Hysterical.
Thank you so much Danyele and Brooke. Don't forget to stop by Danyele's blog and read more about her wonderful family.
