We went to Roger Williams Zoo in Providence, RI this past weekend with my in laws and our friend Jenn. It was a cloudy day but warm and humid. It still turned out to be a great day for a zoo trip. This zoo is one of the bigger and nicer ones in our area, in my opinion. We left about 8:30 in the morning and we got there about 10:00.
These pictures are of the girls and us at their butterfly info and props to promote their butterfly exhibit.(Which we didn't see. You had to pay for it)

My favorite shot of us on the caterpillar

At a little "froggy" area
Home Depot had some tables set up to do free wooden crafts with the kids. Katelyn chose to make a little castle. She also got her own little Home Depot apron and a HD hat.
Daddy ended up doing most of the work while the HD volunteer sat and watched. He didn't seem to know what he was doing and was about as useful as a hangnail.
During the craft Madelyn ran off with one of the hammers and Papa let her play with it for awhile. She hammered the wagon for a bit.

Hard at work wood gluing...
The final product! It's actually a piggy bank! The top comes off so you can put change in it.
There you have the first batch. I was going to put all of them on but I had a four hour migraine today and got to this post too late to post all of them. The next post will actually have pictures of the "zoo" part instead of all the stuff that caught our attention when we first entered the zoo!
